Cut the Cords of Doubt

Cut the cords of doubt. I am a gateway. I can’t actually change anyone’s mind. I can only offer my perspective. Doubt has plagued me a lot this past year especially as I pivoted my business. 

• Who would want what I have to offer?
• Who needs my stories? 
• Would they add any value at all to someone’s life? 

And the simple answer is YES. Boy, that took me a minute to say. And…I also know that I can’t know what someone will do with what I share. 

• They may like it in the moment and then go – meh. 
• They may use it once. 
• They may discard it immediately. 
• It may change their life. 
• It may change their relationship with themselves. 
• It may change their relationship with nature, technology, others. 
• It may help them calm down even for a moment. 
• It may cause them to pause and soak in the moment. 

I had forgotten that. It’s not up to me what someone does with my gifts. I had been thinking it’s too much – responsibility, pressure, etc… I simply need to surrender to the love and magic that is me and dance with it. Yep, I had definitely forgotten that. It’s my job to surrender and let the love and magic that is already within me to fow through. Dance with it. Not create it. It’s already a part of me. 

I mean, I’m good at speaking, inspiring and guiding others, but I’m not that good. No one is. So why do we think anyone is that good or that we can’t share because our stories are small (they aren’t) or wont’t be helpful (they will). 

It’s about sharing and knowing that one small pebble can cause ripples that continue outward. It’s that one thing that can change everything. Or not. That’s not up to you. All you can do is share and share some more. Your unique perspective is the gift. It’s the gift that will help someone even if you don’t know it. 

Your gift – that’s what I’d like you to unwrap this year and instead of putting it under the tree – play with it. It’s not going to break or lose its shine. It’s just going to keep getting bigger and shinier. It’s like one of those batteries/toys that you wind up to keep them going. You need to keep using it – crank it up to its shiniest potential. 

Remember, the magic is already within you…you just need to let it out.
